TEVAARAM - Teva means "God", aram means "garland" denotes the first seven volumes of the Tirumurai, the twelve-volume collection of Tamil Saivite devotional poetry. All seven volumes are dedicated to the works of the three most prominent Tamil poets (known as Nayanars)
All songs in the Tevaram (called pathikam in Tamil) are believed to be in sets of ten.

THIRUVASAGAM - A volume of Tamil hymns composed by 9th century Shaivite bhakti poet Manikkavacakar containing 51 compositions & constitutes the 8th volume of Thirumurai, the sacred anthology of Tamil Shaiva Siddhanta.
Main message of the hymns - Body is temporary, worldly comforts are the root cause of pain and sorrow, pray to leave the body & attain liberation (moksha), Soul should have control over the body: The ultimate highness in one's life is to reach Lord Shiva's feet.
